Microsoft Word DOC files arent often automatically viewable on Android. Youll need to download an app to allow your phone to do this.
STEPS



OPEN THE "PLAY STORE" APP FROM YOUR HOMESCREEN.



SEARCH FOR A DOC READER IN THE PLAY STORE SUCH AS "OFFICESUITE VIEWER 6." Click "Install" and then "Open" to install and start the app.



CLICK THE "REGISTER LATER" OPTION IN THE VIEWER TO MOVE ON TO THE APP.



SELECT "RECENT FILES" TO LOOK AT THE MOST RECENT FILES YOUVE READ. You can also browse through the files on your phone,or open files remotely.



CLICK ON A DOCUMENT YOUD LIKE TO READ FROM THE LIST THAT COMES UP.



WAIT FOR THE DOCUMENT TO LOAD, AND THEN READ IT IN THE VIEWER. You can also click on the binoculars icon in the top right to find a particular word in the document.

Purchase the "Pro" version of the app to get additional features like more file formats, and more file sharing options such as Dropbox, Drive, and others.
